Session: 8:30 am - 9:30 am
Description: Create No-Code Interactive Dashboards using Visio Services
With the 2010 releases both for Visio Pro/Premium and SharePoint, the ability to quickly create and share powerful, intuitive, automatically-refreshing web mash-up dashboard visualizations of both your critical IT and business data has never been more easy to accomplish. Attendees see and discuss how via using “out-of-the-box” settings and basic “no code” or “minimal code” customizations they can employ Visio and SharePoint in concert with their systems management and business data solutions to efficiently improve the results they deliver as either IT organizations or as consultants to their business units/line-of-business partners.

Presenter: Candy Parisi, Microsoft
Candy Parisi is a Visio Solution Specialist for Microsoft Corporation. Candy works with Microsoft Enterprise customers to utilize Visio in their business requirements. She has been in the technology industry for over 25 years.  Prior to joining Microsoft, Candy spent 14 years as an Account Manager for a Large Account Reseller, Softchoice, where she guided her fortune 500 customers through their software acquisitions and license management technologies.

Session: 9:45 am - 10:45 am
Description: FixIt: Annoyances, bugs and mistakes in SharePoint 2010
Why do my profile import logs have the wrong time?  How come my workflows won't start?  What's up the taxonomypicker?  Why are my users being prompted to authenticate?  What does that health analyzer alert mean?  How come PDFs aren't working right?  Even in the post-service pack 1 multi-CU world we live in, SharePoint is just plain quirky.  Neil will guide you though the steps to address these common issues once and for all.  You will learn how to clean up your event and ULS logs, understand the health analyzer rules and fix common mistakes.  Finally, we will review several "real world practices" for deploying, maintaining and fixing your farm.

Presenter: Neil Sly, Covenant Technology Partners
Neil R. Sly is a Consultant at Covenant Technology Partners specializing in SharePoint infrastructure with an emphasis on building, maintaining and migrating SharePoint and Office 365.  Prior to relocating to the St. Louis area from Indianapolis, Indiana to join Covenant, Neil was a critical member of the highly-regarded Solutions Delivery Team for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company, considered to be the world's largest SharePoint consumer.  There, he provided global SharePoint support and acted as an Infrastructure SME and Enterprise Search SME where his responsibilities included deploying FAST and integrating it with additional LOB systems.  Neil has worked for more than ten years in the industry and holds several certifications, including  MCITP: Enterprise Administrator and MCITP: SharePoint 2010, MCTS: MOSS 2007, MCTS: ForeFront as well as VMware VCP.  He blogs regularly at http://sly.us and can be found on Twitter at @nrs.
